BS in Physics from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1974), Master in Physics (1978) and Ph.D. in Physics (1989) from the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics - CBPF. Postdoc at the University of California at Berkeley (1989 -1991). Experience in physics, with emphasis on radioactivity and nuclear disintegration, acting on the themes: alpha radioactivity and emission of protons or clusters, relativistic nuclear collisions between heavy ions reactions, photonuclear reactions, physics teaching.
