                  Tensor  Manipulation

Resumo:    We describe how Computational Group Theory can be used to
manipulate indexed objects such as tensors, spinors, and so on.
The intrinsic symmetries of the indexed objects are
represented by permutation groups as well as the symmetries that
describe
the interchange of names of dummy indices.
The problem of finding canonical forms for expressions with indexed
objects
reduces to finding double coset canonical representatives.
This approach is useful to build algorithms for tensor manipulation
which
can be implemented in computer algebra systems.
