2.d Cosmological Models with Rotation
This line of research considers cosmological models
with rotation. From the original papers of K. Godel we examined the possible
free paths in such geometries (M.Novello,
I.D.Soares e J.Tiomno, Physical Review D 27¸4, 779, 1983)
and the processes that forbid the construction of a global gaussian coordinate
system in such geometries. Afterwards, localized gaussian systems were
constructed (M.Novello,
N.F.Svaiter e M.E.X.Guimarães, General Relativity and Gravitation
25,
2, 1993) and timelike curves for material bodies were obtained
(M.Novello, N.F.Svaiter e M.E.X.Guimarães, Modern Physics Letters
A 7, 5, 1992). As a consequence of this research, causal protection
capsules were constructed (M.Novello
e M.C.Motta da Silva, Physical Review D 49, 2, 825, 1994 - M.Novello
e M.C.Motta da Silva, Physical Review D 48, 10, 5017, 1993).
The aim of this approach was to produce universes with limited regions
with rotation and without closed timelike curves. A small modification
of such schemes can produce structures with the features of a wormhole.
