2.b Anisotropic Phase Transitions

The study of initial fluctuations in a primordial anisotropic universe which possibly have originated the observed inhomogeneities in the Universe (galaxies, clusters of galaxies) is the goal of this line of research. The analysis of the evolution of these fluctuations and of possible mechanisms of isotropization of a primordial anisotropic universe has been done using phase transition mechanisms.

The examination of anisotropic primordial universe models has been developed by Luciane R. Freitas e M.Novello (M.Novello e Luciane R.de Freitas, International Journal of Modern Physics A 13, 3, 1998). Based on a phase transition process established by us (S.L.S.Duque e M.Novello, Physica A 168, 1073, 1990 - M.Novello, S.L.S.Duque, R.Triay e H.H.Fliche, Physical Review D 47, 8, 3165, 1993), we examined the possiblity of association between galaxies and clusters of galaxies observed today with perturbations in an initial anisotropic phase.
